He has many monikers such as The Hardest Working Man In Show Business, Mr. Please Please, Funky Soul Brother. The Godfather Of Soul, Soul Brother # 1. James Brown won three Grammys. He would hit the top of the charts 15 times with songs: "Papa Got A Brand New Bag", "I Feel Good" and more. James Brown would have the whole nation singing "Say It Loud,I'm Black and I'm Proud". He would influence many artist including Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson and his before perform James Brown's music in a showcase for Berry Gordy when they audition for Motown.
James Brown rhythmic style came across somewhere between singing and talking. Many believe this help influence Rap. His songs were sampled by some of the biggest name in Hip-Hop. James Brown also discover Bootsy Collins,Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley this guys with James would usher in the funk movement to later be expanded by The Ohio Players, Sly & The Family Stone, Parliament/Funkadelic.
